Today Whitecaps Fans will be waking up to a surprise.
In an unexpected move today Martin Nash will be retiring. Marc Weber reported early this morning that the Vancouver Whitecaps captain will no longer be lacing up his boots competitively.
A lot of the speculation this week has been on this personnel announcement. While most of us were expecting this announcement to be about the supposed hiring of a new Youth Technical Director. Apparently we were all wrong. It happens.
Expect a full report as it all unfolds and watch out for tweets during the press conference.
It all takes place at 10am Pacific.
